Create a handmade holiday gift for someone special. Discover the Serti technique of painting on silk in this hands-on workshop with textile designer and artist, Oksana Danziger. Participants will create their own unique designs on stretched white silk, while learning the process of this traditional Indonesian resist painting method. Using a water-based resist to create an outline for the design, colorful dyes and paints are added before removing the dried resist to reveal sharply outlined shapes resulting in unique works of art.
